Lawn Mowing Tips

Everyone hates doing it, but everyone loves the results of a well mown backyard. Mowing your lawn doesn't have to be the ordeal you think it is.

By following some simple rules, not only will you have a good looking lawn, but also a lawn that requires less effort as well.

One of the first tips I can give you is to never let your lawn grow to more than about 4cm long. Otherwise every time you go to mow your lawn it will be harder then it has to be.

There are many options when it comes to lawn mowers as their are a wide choice of mowers available to purchase, from simple hand operated machines to large ride on tractors.

What you purchase ultimately comes down to the size of your lawn, but you do get the best lawn results by using the hand operated mower.

Hover mowers do the work more quickly and work well for uneven ground, but you won't get that close cut finish.

Don't forget to trim the edges of your lawn after mowing. A half moon blade will cut through the turf neatly. Every time you mow, you will need to edge as well.
